CRAFTSMAN now owned by Black & Decker, and MAY NO LONGER (2017) be "LIFETIME replacement" ?? - CHECK when you buy. Related Sears Craftsman Tools web page - I'm not sure what is the difference Some Craftsman tools are available at Kmart (2017). Ace Hardware has now started carrying some Craftsman tools (2017). OR IS IT NOW TekTronic Industries ??? TTI is the parent company of Ryobi and One World Technologies (OWT). I'm not sure of the relationship between OWT and Ryobi other than they are both in the same locale and they are both owned by TTI." - CWSmith RotoZip - owned by BOSCH Ryobi SEARS SENCO SK Tools and Equipment Skil - owned by BOSCH Snap-On Stanley Works - and an FTC Complaint Stanley's BRANDS Baldwin Reserve - Bathroom, Cabinet, Door and comercial lock hardware Best (access systems, not tools) Black & Decker Bostitch CRC-Evans - pipeline products DeWALT Emhart Technologies - Fasteners of many types Facom - "European market leader in hand tools" Kwikset - Locks Mac Tools National Hardware Porter Cable Proto Sonitrol - ntegrated security solutions Stanley Hand Tools Stanley Security Solutions Stanley Vidmar - Commercial (mostly) storage solutions, racks, bins, lockers Weiser Lock STIHL Hand Tools TekTronic Industries aka TTI "Coming from a former employee of Emerson Electric(Ridgid and Ridge Tool co.) and currently an employee of T.T.I.(TechTronic Industries) I can tell you all benchtop, stationary, and hand held tools(drills,sanders,saws,etc...)are manufactred by T.T.I. with the exception of four tools which are made in Germany by Metabo for us. T.T.I. also does some private label for Sears Craftsman and a small amount of Mastercraft for Canadian Tire(Canada only) to their spec requests. Other than the four tools made in Germany all other tools are made in either Taiwan or China(except Ryobi routers -they are made in South Carolina,USA). But you must remember these tools are made in our own manufacturing plants not by a manufacterer who is making for every Tom,Dick, and Harry. The quality control is tighter and by producing in house we can keep costs down and in turn relay a cheaper cost to the consumer. Also, T.T.I.purchased all the tooling(moulds)from Emerson Electric when they bought that division from them so the tools are pretty much the same except for the color change and a few improvements they made on certain tools(and we lowered the prices on most tools). Emerson Electric still makes the wet/dry vacuums and air filtration units and Ridge Tool(a div. of Emerson Electric) is still making all plumbing tools and devices." - Jim Swamp - 2004 TTI BRANDS (Techtronic Industries) AEG - power tools Dirt Devil (Vacuums) HOMELITE - handheld outdoor power equipment Hoover (vacuums) MILWAUKEE RYOBI VAX (Floor care) TTS - Tooltechnic Systems Owns: Festool Protool Schneider Tanos WMH Tool Group Owns: JET POWERMATIC PERFORMAX WILTON "John sent me this info, from the Powermatic web site - 11/2017:" "In April of 1986, Powermatic was purchased and operated as a division of DeVlieg-Bullard, Inc. In October of 1999 Powermatic was purchased by WMH, who already owned Jet Tools, and Performax Products. These three companies along with the Wilton Tool Company were grouped together to form the WMH Tool Group. In 2014, Powermatic was purchased, along with its sister brands by Tenex Group and are now grouped together to form JPW Industries Inc., as they are still knowns today." - Powermatic
