Add Applications to your Windows "SendTo" options ================================================= (usage: right-click on the file, select "Send To") 8/28/2017 ======================================= VISTA - Differs from other OS Versions: ======================================= Under VISTA, the SendTo folder's location (see XP, below), has been moved, and the pre-Vista location is just a pointer, which means that you will get an error if you try to place shortcuts in the pre-Vista location. The real SendTO folder under Vista is located at: C:\Users|username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo ==================================== XP and PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF WINDOWS: ==================================== If you add program shortcuts to your Windows "SendTo" directory, you can right-click on a file's icon and send the file to any of these applications. These shortcuts make your life easier, as a mouse click allows you to cause a file to be accepted as input to any program in your "Sendto" list. For example, at home, I can send any file to: Adobe Photo Deluxe Adobe Acrobat Reader 5 Internet Explorer IrfanView Jasic Paint Shop Pro 7 Notepad Quick Time Player Quick View Plus Real Player 8 Ulead Photo 6 WinEdit WinFax WinZip two printers, and other applications CREATING A SHORTCUT TO THE APPLICATION ====================================== If you can't find an existing shortcut to copy, right click on the application's executable file, and select either "Create Shortcut" or "Send To" "Desktop as Shortcut" or right-click on file and select COPY, position cursor, right-click and select Paste Shortcut Then drag the shortcut into the appropriate "SendTo" directory (see below).
