NetWare's NWCONFIG Utility

NW 6.5 - NWCONFIG - Main Menu Choices

Under NW 6.5, NWCONFIG exists, but does very little. It does NOT detect new hardware, nor does it load drivers for detected hardware. NWCONFIG can still be used to install software from NetWare installation disks, and to edit AUTOEXEC and STARTUP. Under NW 6.5, HDETECT will find new hardware and asks if it should install drivers for the hardware (or whether you want to find the drivers). HDETECT, in some form or another, has existed since at least NW 5.0

NW 6.0 - NWCONFIG - Main Menu Choices

Under NW 6.0, invoking NWCONFIG causes NWCONFIG to scan for new hardware, attempt to load any drivers, and if the driver load fails, pass control to the console for the User to manually intervene.
