Method 2 - NWADMIN
Using NWADMIN to view license data
Method 3 - NW 6.0 & Above - complicated
Unfortunately, you need both:
1) a running Novell NetWare Client on Windows, (so obviously,
you have to have an installed NetWare client) and
2) A running, setup, Novell NetWare 6 or 6.5 Server
FINDING THE EXPIRATION DATE:
1) Using the Windows NetWare CLIENT, log into the NetWare
server as "admin" Using:
A) the appropriate NetWare admin password,
B) Context
C) Tree
Note: When booting the Windows computer containing the
NetWare Client, you will also need the name of NetWare Server
2) Using the Web browser on the Windows machine, enter the IP
address of the NetWare Server, for example:
http://192.168.34.101
3) You will see the Welcome to NetWare 6 (or 6.5) GUI window
4) Select iManager
OPEN iManager
5) If you are not using a DNS server, you will get an error
such as:
https://borg-b-nw6:2200/eMFrame/iManager.html
PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED
6) Replace the name of the NetWare server with its IP address,
on the web browser's address line, like this:
https://192.168.34.101:2200/eMFrame/iManager/html
And press ENTER
7) You get the Main iManager GUI
8) Select LICENSE MANAGEMENT (from the left-hand task list)
9) Select INSTALL A LICENSE
10) Browse to the license on the A: drive, or where ever.
11) Select the appropriate license (ENDS in ".nlf" by clicking on it
12) Click the VIEW button
13) Some text from the selected license pops up
14) Scroll down one page
15) You will See the License START and STOP (expiration) dates
NOTE: You can use a NetWare 6 Client and Server to examine
NetWare 6.5 licenses.
HOW TO INSTALL LICENSES, NW 6.0 & ABOVE, GO TO STEP 11, ABOVE, THEN:
1) Click on the NEXT button
2) Select the desired license(s) by "checking" the box in
front of the name of the license

do this" questions, and you have to select the location
to install the license(s).
4) I have been installing the license at the top of the Tree,
so any and all users can use the licenses.
