1) All my friends chose a ROKU Box (I preferred a TiVo ROAMIO / BOLT OTA DVR,
for receiving/recording OTA HDTV signals.
but it's not for most people - plays with existing Digital Tivos, has a
great Service that lists the available OTA shows, and the best interface,
costs more).

I MUCH PREFER ETHERNET TO CONNECT TIVO MINIS TO TIVO OTA DVRs.
Has fewer parts, cable easier to install and you should have ethernet at
your video locations, anyway.
MoCA will NOT work if your coax line has a splitter between the DVR and the
TiVo Minis. You may also need a MoCA signal blocker installed on your
COAX line just before your COAX connects to your HDTV network preovider's
cable (for example, where Spectrum's cable meets your in-house coax cable).
If you use Ethernet, please investigate how to connect Ethernet to remote
areas of your house wherein you want to receive OTA HDTV signals.
We have a Gigabit Ethernet switch at each TV location, hard wired to our
Router.
I ALWAYS PREFER HARD-WIRED ETHERNET, NOT WiFi. Get a professional to install
Ethernet cable runs where you need them.
This (Ethernet at all TV locations) allows the Minis to connect to the OTA TiVo
DVR and your smart tv to connect to the Internet.
